There are eight different zones within the attraction and as well as getting up close and personal to wax figures of everyone from sports stars to politicians, visitors can enjoy a whole world of interactive experiences in each zone.
Visitors will start off in the History Zone, meeting influential and important politicians from the past and present. Try on Bismarck’s helmet. See John F Kennedy’s famous “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech, before addressing the nation with Angela Merkel.
Next stop will be the Culture Zone, where visitors will be able to play with Beethoven on an interactive piano, test their genius with an IQ test with Einstein or relax on Sigmund Freud’s couch. In the Behind the Scenes Zone, visitors will be able to learn about Marie Tussaud who famously began sculpting during the French Revolution using the gruesome method of using decapitated heads of prominent citizens as her models. Today, happily, decapitated heads are no longer required but the extraordinary artistry process remains much the same.
Next on the tour is a very sporty affair. Visitors can jump on court with Boris Becker, before weighing in with legendary boxer Henry Maske and Muhammad Ali. Oliver Kahn waits to scream at you if you dare to take your virtual penalty!
After being a sporting success, visitors enter the television studio to sit on the famous “Wetten Dass!” white couch with Thomas Gottschalk. Think Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is easy? See what its like to answer the questions under the watchful gaze of its presenter!
Next stop is the music zone, where you can learn to moonwalk with Michael Jackson whilst swinging your hips next to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll Elvis Presley or picking up a guitar and being the 5th Beatle. Next to the international superstars are German chart-toppers Herbert Grönemeyer, Peter Maffay and Nina Hagen – complete with her trademark hairy armpits.
The tour comes to an end in fitting style – a celebrity party! Get up close and personal with VIPs and Hollywood A-listers, such as Angelina Jolie und Brad Pitt, Justin Timberlake, Franka Potente and Madonna. Cuddle up to Robbie Williams before you have a date with George Clooney. Just don’t forget he’s not the real one!
